Description:
Do you have a passion for tree stewardship, the environment, community gardens or food forests? Join us for a celebration of native Texas trees and pollinator-friendly plants at St. Edward's University! Activities will include native tree, shrub, and wildflower planting, a discussion on the importance of native Texas pollinator plants, and a Q&A with our campus arborist about how to care for your trees through extended drought, polar freezes, extreme heat, and anything else that nature throws their way. Participants will help us expand our Monarch Waystation by planting more wildflowers, and plant trees and mulch pathways throughout our new campus Food Forest! We will end by enjoying some tree-derived snacks and treats, including Yaupon iced-tea and pecan cookies! There will be an optional campus tour at 12 p.m.
Registration period closes Saturday, November 5, 2022
